Damage, Inc. QUALITY: Decent enough recording, strong on the high end, but clean. Crowd noise around the taper isn't bad. Some chatter, but not bad. SOURCE: unknown mics > unknown recorder TRANSFER: unknown gen cassette > USB SoundBlaster HD > Goldwave > CDWAVE > WAV (transferred by me) TIME: 115 minutes CORRECT SHOW: Yes, Padova is said at the end. FLAWS: None BAND PERFORMANCE: Strange performance this second night of the tour. I would call this a rough performance, but let's be honest even on a bad night Metallica is still better than 95% of other bands. Some interesting tid bits, James forgets lyrics to at least 3 songs - Blackened, Justice, and Damage I think. He asks the crowd if they want to hear Kirk do a guitar solo right after Seek. Then he says "I guess you'll have to wait for that later" or something to that effect. I'm not sure if Kirk had issues with a guitar or he was having an off night as Fade to Black sounds out of tune, and his guitar solo is different. There just seems to be this overall disconnect from Jason's solo to the end of Battery. Not that anyone in the crowd noticed, as they all loved it. Interesting James does his curse chant right before Creeping Death, which will show up again in a few shows between Seek and Justice.
