Pre-show babble Intro Battery Master of Puppets For Whom the Bell Tolls Cliff's solo Welcome Home (Sanitarium) Seek and Destroy Creeping Death QUALITY:Pretty decent over all, certainly listenable. It's a tad distant from the stage, but all in all still better than a lot of the shows from this tour. SOURCE: Sony WM-W800 w/supplied stereo condenser mic > TDK AD-X 90 > TRANSFER: Sony TC-WR570 > Phillips CDR200 > CDR > EAC > Flac TAPER: by Jerry B. aka "The Govner" TIME: 45 minutes CORRECT SHOW: Yes, before Bells James introduces John Marshall and says "can't play very well with a fucked up arm here". This is different than the other nights around this time. FLAWS: A drop out here an there, but nothing significant. BAND PERFORMANCE: Obviously great performance, no surprise. John Marshall is playing guitar due to James' broken arm. They also played a shorter set this time around, probably due to the broken arm. Probably the most interesting aspect of this recording is the hecklers near the taper. Obviously came to see Ozzy and wanted nothing to do with Metallica. The last few songs however, the heckling stops. Not sure if that was due to winning the crowd over, or the hecklers getting tired and making a beer run. Either way, interesting to hear.
