> Ride the Lightning jam So What? Creeping Death Sad but True Ain't My Bitch Whiplash Fade to Black King Nothing One Until It Sleeps For Whom the Bell Tolls Wherever I May Roam > Bleeding Me teaser Nothing Else Matters Enter Sandman (cut) QUALITY: Never doubt getting an upgrade. I thought I had a 2nd gen, but it was trash compared to a true 1st gen. Not sure what equipment was used to make my previous version, but this is a significant upgrade. The band is crisp and while it's still very shaky, it's much better to watch than what I had. SOURCE: Unknown camera VERSION: Terry / Sabkisscrue / Norbinho TRANSFER: 1st Gen VHS > SA > TPMGenC > DVD TIME: 77 minutes FLAWS: Missing Last Caress, Puppets, and Overkill CORRECT SHOW: Yes, I was at this show. BAND PERFORMANCE: James makes reference to the weather. During Soundgarden's set a dust storm blew threw Phoenix. July is the monsoon season, and it's common to have dust storms. They delayed Soundgarden's set and we all had to sit in the wind, dust, and lightning in the middle of the open desert. Made for an interesting evening. Show was great - I hadn't seen Metallica since Somerset, WI 1994 so it was good to see the band even with the Lollapalloza condensed set. At the end of the show Lars says to Jason "Jason didn't you used to live here?" Crowd goes nuts of course, Jason smiles and shakes his head yes.
