AUDIO QUALITY: Very nice quality, these German shows from this tour are definitely the best of the bunch. Nice clean recording, only a few spots of distortion when the bass drum gets a little loud, nothing to really complain about. The crowd is a little loud here, but not bad. I think the taper moves away from the louder people in the crowd during the beginning so it cleans up nicely. Worth getting for sure. Also I've been asked many times is this recording a true audience and not a dub from video. Yes, it is a true audience recording. SOURCE: Aiwa CM-30A mics + Sony D6 Analog Walkman TAPER: Robert Huizinga LINEAGE: 2nd gen cassette > Goldwave > CDWAVE > CDR (transferred by me) TIME: 153 minutes DVD QUALITY: Shot from Jason's side. Fairly close, but still distant. Better than the 5/19 show. AUTHOR: Arthuro SOURCE: 1st Gen > 2DVD TIME: 150 minutes CORRECT SHOW: Yes, Duesseldorf is said several times. FLAWS: None, I was able to merge the breaks for the tape flips so smoothly you can't tell where they used to be. The show flows very smoothly. BAND PERFORMANCE: Great show, lots of energy. I really like this set - especially Disposable and Thing. Really impressed with how strong Metallica finished on this last leg of the Euroepean tour after being on the road since 10/91. Most bands would have stopped tour on the album a long time ago.![]()
