Intro Blackened For Whom the Bell Tolls Welcome Home (Sanitarium) Harvester of Sorrow Eye of the Beholder Jason's solo > To Live Is to Die jam Master of Puppets One Seek and Destroy ...And Justice for All > How Many More Times jam Creeping Death Fade to Black Kirk's solo > Little Wing jam Battery > Symptom of the Universe > Run to the Hills > Helpless teasers Last Caress Am I Evil? Whiplash QUALITY: Quality is pretty nice on this one, certainly above average. As of 2008, this is relatively uncirculated - not sure why. The taper is a tad distant, but the crowd chatter is to a minimum. Good instrument separation and James' vocals come across really well. SOURCE: unknown mics > unknown recorder TRANSFER: unknown gen cassette > Adobe Audigy Platinum > Goldwave > CDWAVE > WAV (transferred by me) TIME: 112 minutes CORRECT SHOW: Most likely, James never says the city name, but one thing that happens is the firework incident which I mention in further detail below. Certainly makes this show easy to identify in case someone attaches another date to it down the road. BAND PERFORMANCE: First thing is before Harvester James addresses the crowd about people throwing fireworks on stage. Obviously not cool, and he's pissed. They start Harvester, and about 30 seconds into it, he stops and calls for the house lights to come up. Apparently someone threw something on stage. He gives the standard speech about not wanting to cancel the show, but doesn't want to be a target. Then asks the crowd to kick some ass. Definitely a rough start, but they don't miss a beat and proceed to put on a really good show. Never understood why people throw stuff on stage - let alone fireworks. Interesting to note that Metallica never played in Savannah again...
