Blackened For Whom the Bell Tolls Welcome Home(Sanitarium) Leper Messiah Harvester of Sorrow Eye of the Beholder Jason's solo > To Live is To Die jam Master of Puppets One Seek and Destroy ...And Justice for All > Unknown jam Creeping Death Fade to Black Kirk's solo Battery > La Bamba > Run to Hills > Helpless jams Last Caress Am I Evil? Whiplash Breadfan QUALITY: Quality is pretty rough on this one. The taper was well back from the speaker stack. There is a guy near the taper that says "WOO-HOO" a lot, plus the taper talks from time to time. This would definitely be one for collectors. SOURCE: unknown mics > unknown recorder TRANSFER: unknown gen cassette > Adobe Audigy Platnium > Goldwave > CDWAVE > WAV (transferred by me) TIME: 120 minutes CORRECT SHOW: Yes James makes several references to friends from the club days. Says thanks S.F. Also talks about last night's show in a few places. FLAWS: There are a few drop outs here and there. Nothing really critical, but the overall recording is pretty rough regardless. BAND PERFORMANCE: As with all gigs in San Francisco, Metallica seems to put a little extra in for the home town crowd. They must have been pretty happy to have two nights in S.F. Slight setlist change with Leper Messiah verses Horsemen from the night before. Several references to fans from the club days, which is cool that they remember where they came from. All in all a decent show. Wish there were better recordings for both nights.
