QUALITY 1: This is an upgrade for me, previous version was possibly ripped from
video. I'd always rather have a true audio source. With that being said, the
recording is pretty good. NOt a lot of low end on show,
and the recording is distant. There are a few moments of annoying
crowd, but not too bad. Overall a decent capture of Metallica.

SOURCE: Stereo Mic > Sony Walkman
TAPER: Manolo
TIME: 146 minutes

QUALITY 2: Excellent recording.

Taper: Stephane
Gear: Aiwa CM30a mic > Denon DAT

Lineage: DAT (M) > CR-R > wav > FLAC > Adobe Audition 1.5 (peak restoration, EQ, clap reduction, peak limiting, splits & fades) > TLH (sector alignment, flac 8)

DVD: 2 cam mix with both views fairly decent, lots of shaking though.

Time: 125 minutes

CORRECT SHOW: Yes, Paris is said a few times.

FLAWS: None

BAND PERFORMANCE: Another good show, but they follow the formula pretty tight, so there isn't a lot
that can go wrong. However, there are always the chance for technical glitches, James mic doesn't work at
first during the audience participation piece. He's pretty pissed when it comes back on. Also there are moments of
really bad static or feedback during NEM, it's not the recording, but from the bands PA. The band doesn't
comment on it, but I can imagine the horror from the crew as Metallica is playing this song and this bursts
of static hit the PA, and keep happening. Ouch! Other than those minor incidents, the show is good
and worth listening to. Nice Fight Fire with Fire jam right before Motorbreath. Motorbreath is
almost a complete song, but it seems James loses interest towards the end. Nice that the taper kept rolling
and got the final Kirk and Lars thank yous. A lot of tapers miss those.
